Please read these carefully and if you have any queries please get in touch.
- All drivers on courses and adventure days must hold a full UK driving licence.
- All courses must be booked and paid for in advance.
- Driver Training is undertaken on a one-to-one basis in either our own vehicle or the pupil’s. If at any point during a course the instructor deems that the pupil is driving or acting in a manner likely to endanger him or herself, the instructor or the vehicle, he will terminate the course. No refund will be made.
- Experience courses are undertaken in our own vehicle. If at any point during a course the instructor deems that the pupil is driving or acting in a manner likely to endanger him or herself, the instructor or the vehicle, he will terminate the course. No refund will be made. This also applies to any passenger in the vehicle.
- If the pupil has chosen to be taught in his or her own vehicle then it must be in a roadworthy condition, in the opinion of the instructor.
- All tuition will take place on our own purpose-built site. No driving instruction will take place on the public highway.
- Participants in Adventure days must ensure that their vehicle is well serviced, carries at least ¾ tank of fuel, and has road legal tyres of at least all-terrain capability. Where possible we ask that vehicles are fitted with jate ring style recovery points (not the factory-fitted lash down eyes).
- Any participants in Adventure days who, in the opinion of the leader, drive or act in a manner likely to endanger themselves or others or the environment, will be asked to leave. No refund will be made.
- All occupants of vehicles attending FAR X 4 events should be suitably attired for spending time off-road. We will not be held responsible for any damage to clothing or footwear.
- All participants in FAR X 4 events who use their own vehicles do so entirely at their own risk and must ensure that they are suitably insured.
- There are two priorities in every FAR X 4 undertaking – personal safety, and consideration for the environment. These factors may occasionally dictate that specific challenges are cancelled, curtailed or amended. We make no apology – safety is paramount.
